Lots of great events and things going on in the next couple weeks. Some of our highlights below:

If your in Chelsea, a not to miss show at PPOW gallery exhibiting the work of Sandow Birk. We have not made it to this show yet, but have it on the itinerary for this week. Through October 9th.

Starting on Thursday the Affordable Art Fair is in town. If you want a break from the monotony of the blue chip art fair circuit, then this fair is for you. Of course, it is a mixed bag, but that is why we like it so much and also because you don't have to have 10 million in the bank to get some solid artwork from very talented artists.

Elwa rarely talks about music on this blog, but a not to miss show is coming up next weekend:

Lightning Bolt, Dan Deacon Ensemble, and Casiotone for the Painfully Alone are playing here:

RIDGEWOOD MASONIC TEMPLE on Friday 10/15. You can get more info from the tireless Todd P and his cohorts. It will surely be a wild show! Tickets on sale at Desert Island Books on Metropolitan.
