We have a bunch of news to report this week:
Aymar Ccopacatty has just been accepted for a one year residency at the Escuela Lab in Lima, Peru. We are happy for Aymar, knowing he will take the Lima art scene by storm, it will be exciting to see what he produces during this period. Not sure of all the details, but the residency proposes to investigate the role of technology in society. Sounds kind of vague, but will get some translations from Aymar soon!
Adrien Broom is having a solo show in mid-October at the Diane Birdsall Gallery in Old Lyme, CT. Elwa released a photo of her work this past summer which was quite a hit. We are looking forward to attending this show and getting out of the city for a weekend. If your in CT, we recommend checking this show out.
In related news, Dave Cole, an artist from Providence, has a solo show at the Dodge Gallery next weekend. This is a great artist, in a wonderful, new LES space. Don't miss it! The opening is Saturday, October 2, 6-8pm.
Last, but not least, we are happy to announce that Elwa is included in the Alternative Histories exhibition at Exit Art. This show is a large survey of many of the groups and projects that have come together in NYC since the 1960s. The opening is this Friday, September 24th, 6-8pm. Hope to see you there!
