ELWA Productions presents “A Connection That Binds”
Hosted by the White Space Collection
December 2010 – ELWA Productions (www.elwaproductions.com) is pleased to present its curatorial debut in the Palm Beaches: A Connection That Binds- an exhibition featuring the works of emerging artists Chris Vicini and Devin Powers.
About the Artists
Chris Vicini (Sweden) uses the delicate medium of porcelain to create exotic worlds of flora and fauna. Vicini is a master sculpture, having shown widely in galleries and museums throughout Europe, this will be one of his largest exhibition to-date in the US. He will be creating an elaborate installation for the White Box, creating a vision into a world populated by strange beasts and mythological creatures.
Devin Powers (New York) creates paintings and installations using complex geometric abstractions. His paintings are technically and visually stunning, created with an intuitive, yet mechanical precision. His forms and techniques allude to fundamental questions of philosophy and science. Based on an intense labor process, he creates systems and repetitions of lines to take the picture plane and melt it away into a visionary cosmos.
